Three accused persons Mohamed Kamara, Abu Bakarr Conteh and Samuel Augustine Roach were yesterday remanded at the Pademba Road Prison in Freetown after they were refused bail
The three accused persons appeared before Magistrate Komba Kamanda of the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1with charges ranging from conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, robbery with aggravation contrary to Section 23(1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916 as repealed and replaced by Section 2 of Act No 16 of 1971 which related to the other count charges.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused on the 12th June 2014 at No 14B Upper Gbendembu, Goderich in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit robbery with aggravation.
It will be recalled that on the said date, all the accused persons allegedly went to the said address with knife and cutlass and stabbed and robbed the complainant, Michael Mohamed Konteh of one HP laptop computer, Samsung mobile phone, Samsung plasma television and other valuable electronic items worth Twenty Five Million one Hundred and Five Thousand Leones properties of Michael Konteh. The accused, on the same date again had cause to rob one Doris Konteh of a ladies wrist watch, three Samsung mobile phones and engagement wedding items and assorted items with a total value of Fifteen Million Leones, properties of Doris Konteh.
The matter was adjourned to the 16th July 2014. Police Inspector Conteh is prosecuting the matter.
