3 Remanded For Offensive Weapons

Magistrate Komba Kamanda of Court No.2 yesterday remanded three accused persons at the Pademba Road Maximum prison for carrying offensive weapons.
The three accused, Abdul Karim Kargbo, Abdulai Bangura and an accomplice were on arraigned in court on three counts of carrying an offensive weapon contrary to Section 15 of Act No.56 of 1965, loitering with intent contrary to Section 8 of the Public Order Act 1965 and carrying an offensive weapon contrary to Section 16 (1) of No.46 of the offensive Act 1965.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused persons were on the 28th November 2014 at Patton Street in Freetown arrested and found in possession of offensive weapons like knife, screw driver and the like.
All accused persons pleaded not guilty to all counts. Sergeant 922 Dumbuya J is prosecuting the matter and no representative for the accused persons. The accused were denied bail and sent to Pademba Road prison. The matter was adjourned to the 8th January 2014.
