The House Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Hon Ibrahim R. Bundu has been relieved of his duties in Parliament.
The Speaker of the House, Hon. SBB Dumbuya whilst making the announcement in The House said that the notice came from the Chairman and Leader of the All Peoples Congress Party, His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma who thought it fit that since the former Majority Leader has expressed his intention to run for the Presidency of the country, it will undermine and jeopardize the credibility of the entire House and lack of confidence in his leadership.
Hon. Leonard S. Fofanah has been appointed as the Majority Leader and the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Hon. Hassan Sheriff as his Deputy.
Hon. Ibrahim Bundu is vying for the post of flagbearer in the ruling APC Party. He remains a Member of Parliament representing Port Loko district.
