Since her sudden death was confirmed on Sunday May 10th 2015, the residence of the late veteran APC grassroots Politician, Madam Kainde Bangura at Tengbeh Town has been flooded by APC members and supporters, to mourn her passing on.
The late Madam Kainde Bangura was a blue-blooded APC member. Her loyalty to the APC Party was, without doubt, irreproachable.
Because of her open support for the elected Vice President, Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana, Madam Kainde Bangura was subjected to a lot of public humiliation, by some so-called senior party officials.
The poor 71-year-old woman was made to testify before a committee that was set up by the party’s NAC (National Administrative Council). She was accused of promoting anti-party activities.
Together with her adopted son (Chief Sam Sumana) Madam Kainde Bangura was expelled from the only party she had known for the past several years.
Undoubtedly, Madam Kainde Bangura served the APC party faithfully, both in opposition and in governance. She died out of frustration. Those who hounded her out of the APC party have blood on their hands.
Not surprisingly, the children of the late woman have refused to receive anything (cry berin) from anybody who is close to those who hounded their mother out of the APC party.
Madam Kainde Bangura’s children have shown to the world that money is not the be-all-and-end-all of life. Good relationship matters more than money.
Madam Kainde Bangura died a heart-broken woman. And her children and relatives have alluded to this fact, even publicly.
Those who have blood on their hands have been told to stay away from the funeral home of the late veteran APC Politician. Many people who stood by the APC party during those difficult years in opposition (1992-2007) have today been marginalized. The APC party has, unfortunately, been hijacked by some well known opportunists and vindictive people.
May the soul of Madam Kainde Bangura haunt all those who bore a hand in her political demise which eventually led to her sudden death! Rest in peace, Madam Kainde!
The nation has lost a very committed and reliable grassroots Politician. May her soul rest in perfect peace! Amen!
