High Court Restrains Bagbo Chief

The Sierra Leone High Court, presided over by The Hon. Mr. Justice Aiah D. Konomanyi has granted an ex parte interim injunction, with immediate effect, restraining Raymond Brima Sese Koker from presenting himself and/or behaving in any way whatsoever in Jimmy Bagbo Chiefdom or anywhere else at all, as the validly and properly elected Paramount Chief of Jimmi Bagbo Chiefdom in the Bo district.

An interim injunction was also granted restraining the Minister of Local Government, the Provincial Secretary Southern Province, the National Electoral Commission and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice from invoking, executing and/or applying in any way whatsoever in respect of the recognition of the so called election of Raymond Brima Sese Koker.

The Jimmi Bagbo Paramount Chieftaincy election was held on 2nd December, 2013. The election was allegedly marred by several irregularities and malpractices. Hon. Dr. Bu-Buakei Jabbi is representing the petitioner/applicant, Mr. Alphan Adis Bryan Kawa Jah. Both the interim injunction and the ex parte interim injunction came into force immediately.
