Le5m Bail For Trespasser

Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of Freetown Magistrate Court No.3 yesterday granted a bail of Le5,000,000 (Five Million Leones) to an accused, Lahai Eric for allegedly trespassing into a private property at Pratt Lane in Freetown.

The accused was arraigned on a warrant of a private criminal sermon of trespass and malicious damage filed against him by Ibrahim James Turay, complainant in the matter.

According to the particulars of offense, the accused on the 11th June 2015 at No.44 Off Pratt Lane in an annoyed manner allegedly trespassed at the said property and maliciously damaged one economic tree valued at five hundred thousand Leones.

The accused who pleaded not guilty to the offence as charged was represented by Lawyer Julius Nye Cuffie who pleaded for bail on behalf of the accused person.

Accused bail is to be approved by the Deputy Master and Registrar, with a surety in like some.

The matter was adjourned to the 10th July 2017 for hearing.
