The Judiciary of Sierra Leone is presently in search of a Nigerian national, Harrison Omeh on allegation of fraud, a matter that is before Principal Magistrate, Santigie Bangura of Freetown Magistrate Court No.1.
Mr. Harrison Omeh who is presently on the run after a One Hundred Million Leones bail was slammed on him, is standing as an accused person at the said court on a Preliminary Investigation of five counts, ranging from forwarding a forged document, unlawful possession of forged passport to using a forged and unlawfully altered pass port, contrary to section 36 sub- section 1 of the non citizens (registration, immigration and expulsion) Act 1965.
The particulars of offence state that, the accused person on diverse dates in October 2017 at the Freetown International Air Port Lungi, with intent to deceive the Immigration authorities, altered a certain forged document to Immigration authorities to wit, the Kingdom of Lesotho Passport No.RB. 135380 bearing the accused name and photograph instead of Bahiskoana Rameea, who is the rightful holder of the said passport knowing same to be forged.
On the other count, the accused on the same date at the Airline profiling services at 37 Bathurst Street in Freetown was found in possession of one forged and unlawfully altered passport to the said Kingdom, bearing the name Bahiakoana Rameea indicating the accused name and photograph without lawful authority.
The accused surety has been arrested and remanded at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre until the accused person, Harrison Omeh is produced before the court.
