Parliament Interviews NASSIT Chief

The proposed Managing Director of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Mr. Joseph Sedu Mans Jr. yesterday appeared before the Ccmmittee on Appointments and the Public Service for interview.
Answering questions from members of the Committee, Mr. Mans informed members that he had been with NASSIT since its inception, adding that he was one out of eight senior officials who formulated the policies and guidelines that now govern the Trust in terms of international best practice.
He further informed that, for the next five years, he would endeavour to consolidate all investment portfolios within NASSIT and also try to maintain an up to date register for workers and make sure that workers’ contributions are collected on a regular basis.
Mr. Mans Jr. promised that if approved, he would take along with him integrity to the Trust. According to him, in the absence of integrity nothing substantial would be done in terms of innovation. Mr. Mans also promised to rebrand NASSIT and take the Trust to a higher height.
He noted that there are new investments to be undertaken by NASSIT and assured that the funds at NASSIT are intact and could multiply with time.
