Police Arrest Teacher For Le12m

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Alfred Karrow Kamara, has confirmed the arrest and detention of a teacher of the Luke’s Commercial Secondary School in Kenema, Elizabeth Patricia Sheriff, for allegedly defrauding an unidentified person the sum of 12 million Leones after which she fled to Liberia where she was arrested by the International Police and is now in custody at the Kenema Police Station helping with investigation.

According to AIG Kamara, the teacher abandoned her duties at the school since March this year but her salary was still running and she also withdrew from her salary account the sum of over four million Leones, an act which the AIG described as a serious offence.
