Police Testifies In Beach Murder

Fifth prosecution witness in the alleged beach murder involving one Hannah Bockarie, Detective Police Sergeant 7681 Alhaji M. Kamara attached to the Congo Cross Police Station yesterday testified before Magistrate Binneh Kamara at the Magistrate Court No.1 in Freetown.
The witness said he recalled the 13th August 2015 whilst on duty at the said station, a case of enquiry file of alleged murder from Aberdeen Police post was brought in together with the first accused, Mohamed Lamin Kamara for investigation. He said statement was obtained from witnesses.
On the 18th August 2015, he together with Sergeant 5572 Kido Papa Amara they contemporaneously interviewed the accused.
The matter was later transferred to the CID Headquarters for further investigation.
The accused was charged with one count of Murder contrary to law.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused in August 2015 at the Aberdeen Beach Road allegedly murdered one Hannah Bockarie.
The accused was denied bail and remanded at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre.
The matter was adjourned to the 2nd February, 2016.
