The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) has in a press statement approved the Rules and Regulations for the conduct of elections of the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition SLPP.
The approval by the PPRC of the Rules and Regulations, a crucial requirement for the conduct of election of the party’s Presidential candidate was made yesterday following the Commission’s handling of objections sent in by some SLPP members and subsequent publication thereof in the Sierra Leone Gazette.
The party can now freely conduct the election of its Presidential Candidate in Kenema during the party’s Delegates’ Conference which is expected around mid-September this year.
