Tobacco Seller Wins Mercury Jackpot

Leading spot betting company in Sierra Leone, Mercury International yesterday presented a cash prize of One Hundred and ten million, and one hundred and sixty five thousand Leones to first winner of the 4/50 jackpot, Ibrahim Sorie Kamara.
Mr Kamara, a tobacco seller, actually won One Hundred and Twenty Two Million and four hundred thousand Leones from which taxes were deducted. Accompanied by his daughter, Mr Kamara took away the mouthwatering cash prize after a brief ceremony at the company’s corporate headquarters on  Kroo Town Road in Freetown.
Presenting the money, the company’s Board Chairman who also doubles as Chairman of the Mercury International Charitable Foundation, Samir Hassanyeh congratulated  the winner and said that the company has lived to its promise of presenting cash money to winners. He advised the first 4/50 winner, Ibrahim to take good care of the money by investing in a profitable business which he said would make life easier for him and his family.
Responding, the 4/50 winner, 65-year-old winner, Ibrahim Sorie Kamara expressed delight at being declared winner of the jackpot. He said as a fan of Mercury he has been playing the lottery for long time without success. He thanked the Almighty Allah for directing him to win the jackpot and prayed that other players would win the jackpot in the near future.
He vowed to continue playing Mercury so that he will win more big prizes in future.
On his part, the Operations Manager at Mercury International, Joseph Harb expressed hope that the win will be a life changing beginning for the lucky winner.
Alhaji Komba, the PRO for Mercury International also congratulated the winner.
