UDM Leader Calls For John Sisay’s Resignation

Outspoken senior opposition Politician, Mr. Mohamed Bangura has called on Mr. John Sisay, the Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Rutile to resign his position now and pursue his political ambition.
Speaking to the Global Times yesterday, Mr. Bangura said if Mr. Sisay fails to resign from Sierra Rutile, the Board should either force him to do so or fire him.
He described Mr. Sisay’s decision to declare his political intention to run for the flagbearership of the APC as “completely insensitive” to what the country is going through at the moment.
The UDM Chairman/Leader clarified that, as a citizen of the country, Mr. Sisay has every rights under the Constitution to declare his political intention. But he noted that the timing was inappropriate.
Mr. Bangura called on both ruling party and opposition Politicians to join hands with President Ernest Bai Koroma to end the current calamity that has befallen the country before embarking on Party politics.
The UDM leader said that he was also interested in the position of President of Sierra Leone but his current preoccupation was to work with President Koroma to eradicate the Ebola Virus Disease in Sierra Leone.
Mr. John Sisay, last weekend, declared his intention to run for the flagbearership of the ruling APC Party at its 2016 National Delegates’ Conference.
