The Vice-President of Sierra Leone, Ambassador Victor Bockarie Foh, has warned that any APC Presidential flag bearer aspirant carrying dual citizenship and carrying two passports to be ready to throw away one of the passports and have a single Sierra Leonean citizenship, otherwise, he or she will risk being disqualified from the race.
He was delivering the keynote address past Saturday during the official opening of the first ever APC office in Taiama, Kori Chiefdom Moyamba District, the construction of which was single-handedly funded by one of the APC Presidential flag bearer hopefuls and former Bank Governor, Dr. Kaifala Marah.
VP Foh continued that Dr. Marah did not fund the construction of the office just because he intends becoming flag bearer of the party but mainly because he is fully committed to the development of the party as evident in the fact that he has funded the construction of a more sophisticated party office in Kabala.
The Vice-President cautioned that those overzealous flag bearer aspirants jumping here and there, doing and saying things here and there may end up falling on the rock in disappointment as President Koroma is yet to officially talk on who is to succeed him.
VP Foh called on APC supporters to emulate the good example of Dr. Marah and not just be causing loud noise for the party without doing anything to develop it.
Since the office was constructed without electricity, VP Foh pledged to provide solar electricity for it as he did for the court house in Taiama.
In his welcome address, the host Paramount Chief, Borbor Gbapi, described the occasion as monumental as it was an indigene of Taiama, L.M. Mbrewa, who aided the APC to rise to power in 1967, saying he will ever remain to be grateful to the party for crowning him Paramount Chief of Kori Chiefdom.
