High Turnout For COVID-19 Vaccine In Bo

As administration of the free COVID-19 vaccine continues across the country, Bo Dicoverc has commended the turn out and willingness of targeted groups within the district to take the vaccine.

The commendation came during an engagement at the Command Centre on Sewa Road in Bo by the Social Mobilization pillar, Hon. Eric Jumu on how to raise awareness on the vaccination process.

They need for the mobilization according to the Social Mobilization lead of the Bo Dicoverc, Hon. Eric Jumu is to share more knowledge about the vaccine and some facts needed to be communicated to the general public.

He called on Muslims to adhere to the Covid19 regulations during this Holy Month of Ramadan especially the mandatory use of the face marks while congregating.

Hon. Jumu said the Covid-19 government regulations will help to curb or stop the spread of the virus in Bo district and urged the people in the district to take the second shot of the vaccine when available.

The Honourable therefore called on the pubic to be very mindful as the virus is still with us in the country and advised the people to continue the fight against the pandemic.

The District Coordinator Bo Dicoverc, David Fortune spoke about the relevance of preventing one from contracting Covid 19.

Member of the National advisory team from NaCOVERC, Hannah Momoh commended the Bo Dicoverc and stakeholders for supporting the fight against the pandemic, adding that the Social Mobilization pillar needs to do more in their activities after satisfactory strides to breaking the chain of the transmission.
