It is very sad that a leader of a political party does not know the criteria that ECSL Registration Officers use to register eligible voters in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
Yesterday, the leader of the defunct โUnity Partyโ, the chatterbox Femi Claudius Cole was all over social media claiming that, ECSL Registration Officers in an obscure registration center in Freetown had refused to register eligible voters (her supporters) even though they are above the voting age of 18.
In her estimation, one of the boys she forced to appear with her on the video had a black beard on his chin which shows that he had attained the voting age of 18.
One of the ladies she claimed was refused the right to register, according to her, had protruding breasts which indicates that she is even older than 18 years. What a warped mentality!
In order to be able to register to vote, certain forms of ID must be presented at the registration center. Anyone of the following is accepted: voter ID card, securitized birth certificate, NCRA NIN or your national passport. If there is any iota of doubt over your age, someone in authority in your locality must be able to confirm that they know you and they are convinced that you have either attained the voting age of 18 or you would have been 18 by the time the pending elections are held.
The garrulous Femi Claudius Cole is a nuisance. She is all over the place, behaving like a mad dog. It is sad that she cannot even manage her own party, the Unity Party. She has arrogated to herself the title of spokesman/chairperson of COPPP (Coalition of Progressive Political Parties), a coalition that exists only in name.
It is a well-known fact that Femi Claudius Cole is now using several social media platforms to portray herself as an important politician in this country. She is nothing but a rabble-rouser and a nonentity. She should just zip up her motor-mouth!
