Assistant Inspector General of Police, Aiah Edward Samadia has been transferred to the second city of Bo as the Regional Police Commander for the Southern Region.
AIG Aiah Edward Samadia succeeds AIG William Fayia Sellu who has been posted to Police Headquarters in Freetown as Director of Crime Services.
The new Regional Police Commander, AIG Aiah Edward Samadia joined the Sierra Leone Police Force in 1987 and rose through the ranks until his transfer to the second city of Bo as the Regional Police Commander.
He has worked in various places in the police force including the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and has held the position of Director of Human Resources, among others.
AIG Aiah Edward Samadia also worked in the North-West Region that covers Port Loko, Lunsar, Kambia, Masiaka and Lungi International Airport. The new Police Commander successfully operated in these places until he was posted to Bo as the new Regional Police Commander, Southern Region.
AIG Aiah Edward Samadia commended the outgone Regional Commander, AIG William Fayia Sellu for keeping the region safe, especially Bo city, for maintaining security, stability and peace, describing his predecessor as a security-conscious and proactive police officer.
He promised to intensify operations in order to curb the menace of armed robbery and other related offences in the city.
The new Regional Police Commander expressed thanks and appreciation to the people of Bo for welcoming and accepting him.
