Chief Minister Engages Traditional Leaders

The Chief Minister on Sunday engaged Section Chiefs in Kakua Chiefdom, Bo district with a message of hope and trust, in the leadership of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and the New Direction administration.

The Resident Minister South, Mohamed Alie who also doubles as the SLPP District Chairman introduced the Section Chiefs of Kakua to the Chief Minister and used the opportunity to thank them for the support they had offered him this far as Resident Minister.

In his remarks, the Paramount Chief of Kakua Chiefdom, Prince Lappia Boima thanked the Chief Minister for โ€œthis brilliant move as this is the first time the Presidency was coming this close to Section Chiefs to update them on government activitiesโ€.

In his remarks, the Chief Minister, Jacob Jusu Saffa assured the Paramount Chief and his Section Chiefs that they were always in the thoughts of the President that is why he had asked that he engages them.

He reminded them that Kakua houses the capital of the South and it was his duty to ensure that the development trajectory in the Chiefdom takes an upward trend.

He said development was evident in Bo on many fronts including the hospitality and construction sectors where gains are being made that have had rippling effect on the local economy citing ongoing and completed road works in the city.

In closing, the Section Chiefs thanked the Chief Minister for this novelty in governance more so from the Presidency and noted that they felt recognized as part of the process of the governance of this state by this singular visit and were hopeful that this sort of interaction will continue

Accompanying the Chief Minister and Resident Minister was the Regional Organizing Secretary of the SLPP in the Southern Region.
