Leading oil marketing company, National Petroleum (NP-SL) on Saturday commissioned a new filling station outlet on Hangha Road in Kenema City as part of efforts to make petroleum products accessible across all parts of the country.

The Proprietor of the new filling station, Hassan Sow expressed optimism for partnering with the National Petroleum (SL) Limited and the efforts of the NP management for supporting his establishment until completion.

Mr. Sow said his establishment has created job opportunities for residents of Kenema, and also will be expected to see off the prevalent fuel crisis in the city, and called on residents to take ownership of the business.

Speaking at the commissioning in Kenema, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum (SL) Limited noted that the company remains committed to ensuring that petroleum products are easily accessible to residents in Kenema, whilst also providing employment opportunities for residents.

Kobi Walker thanked the Proprietor of the new filling station, Hassan Sow for partnering with NP-SL, assuring him that the company always imports good petroleum products including petrol, diesel, gas, lubricants, and Castrol Oil that have been widely accepted among users.

Petroleum Regulatory Agency representative, Victor Sawyer, on behalf of PRA commended the countryโ€™s largest oil marketing company for extending their lead in the downstream sector and making their products available in all parts of the country as part of efforts to avoid shortage of petroleum products across the country.

Sawyer implored NP-SL to be efficient in national service delivery by extending its operations to other deprived areas across the country in terms of petroleum products.

Musa Moriba, a motorbike rider within the city said he was elated by the commissioning of the filling station noting that riders have had to be constrained to secure petroleum products especially in times of crisis. He expressed hopes that the new National Petroleum filling station in the city will address those constraints.
