Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh yesterday formally launched thirty Early Childhood Development Centers in Sawulia Village in the Bombali district to mark the official opening of these centers across the three districts of Bombali, Pujehun and Kambia.
According to VP Juldeh Jalloh, the launch is a clear testimony of President Dr Julius Maada Bio’s commitment to human capital development.
Given the profound benefit of these centers to poor households who find it difficult to send their kids to pre-primary schools, the Vice President called the ECD centers “Komra Schools”.
Most of the stakeholders who spoke at the event including the dynamic young Minister of Basic Education catalogued the importance of these Komra Schools and thanked the President and the government for thinking about the poor.
Additional thirty-five Komra Schools will be built and it will no doubt boost the New Direction government’s Free Quality Education program.
