The Sierra Leone Police is on a manhunt for a fugitive female police officer Isha Latisha Cham for various crimes including divulging, incitement, and riotous conduct contrary to the code and ethics of the Sierra Leone Police and the State.
According to sources at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Freetown, on Tuesday 16th October 2021, the police disclosed that one Isha Latisha Cham a trained female Police Officer with the rank of an Inspector residing at Sorie Town Gloucester Village in Freetown has been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police for a case of divulging, Incitement and Riotous Conduct.
The Public Affairs Department of the Sierra Leone Police through a press release signed by the Inspector General of Police Mr. Ambrose Micheal Sovula, revealed that Isha Latisha Cham was seen with irate youths that converged at the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) Political Party Headquarters at Railway Line, behaving in a disorderly manner by law.
According to an investigation done by this press, Inspector Isha Latisha Cham is also wanted by the government for subversion and other serious crimes against the state for which she will be prosecuted if arrested.
Even though Officer Cham is wanted by the authorities, the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) youths are also persistently searching for her, claiming that they will lynch the officer if seen.
However, a close friend of the female officer who wants to remain anonymous, said that Isha Latisha Cham is a very calm and peaceful person, she is not guilty of what she has been accused of because of jealousy by some of her colleagues who are strong members of the ruling party.
