The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters on Pademba Road in Freetown has detained five male White foreign nationals; Eduardo Forte, a Venezwelian citizen with United States of American residential permit, Leonarabo Santos, a Spanish National, Ricahard Rodriguez, an American citizen, Miguel Arreaza and Ranato Cappellatti; both Venezwelian citizens.
The above names were on a warrant of arrest list last week when they were arrested at their Lungi Gateway Hotel Lodge by Sierra Leone Police Officers and taken to the Lungi Police Station for questioning.
They were later transferred to the CID Headquarters for further interrogation and on the following date of Thursday, 19th November, 2021 they were interviewed on allegation of illegal entry into the shores of Sierra Leone by landing at the Lungi International Airport, Kaffu Bullom, Port Loko District without legal landing permits.
According to Eduardo Forte, they arrived at the Lungi International Airport on the 10th November 2021, transiting from Ghana on vacation and they put up at the said hotel.
The suspects have since been in detention awaiting further interrogation.
Through information from Interpol, one of the suspects, Leonarabo Santos, a Spanish citizen is a wanted man in Spain.
