SLRSA Welcomes New Executive Director

The Management of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority has welcomed Reverend Smart K. Senessie as the new Executive Director of SLRSA.

This comes weeks after the renowned Clergyman was appointed by His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio on January 11, 2022 replacing Ibrahim Sannoh, the erstwhile Executive Director of the institution.

Welcoming the new Executive Director, James Baggie Bio, the substantive Deputy Executive Director said, he was pleased to welcome the new Executive Director and looked forward to enjoying a very cordial working relationship with him.

Mr. James Bio said the SLRSA is a family working towards eliminating the many sad stories on our roads. He however admonished all heads of Departments and Units as well as the general staff to cooperate fully with the new Executive Director.

Reverend Smart K. Senesie, in his brief statement, said he was very elated to have been appointed by His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to serve in the capacity of Executive Director SLRSA. Rev. Senesie thanked James Baggie Bio and the entire Management and Staff for their tireless efforts in ensuring that the authority diligently achieves its mandate.

Prior to his appointment, Rev. Senessie had served as Chairman Board of Directors of the Sierra Leone Road Maintenance Fund Administration (RMFA), Director of Mission and Development at United Methodist Church of Sierra Leone, and also worked with the Department for International Development – DFID, the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) among others.

Reverend Smart K. Senesie comes to the new job with a wealth of experience in International Relations, Public Administration, and International Financial Management.

The New Executive Director was welcomed with a guard of honor parade conducted by the Road Safety Corps commanded by DCRMA Barrie Lansana Bisiri.
