The Sierra Leone People’s Party Kambia District Chairman who doubles as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, Ambassador Alimamy H. Bangura has revealed that under his stewardship the opposition All Peoples Congress Party (APC) will have no breathing space in the entire district during the 2023 General elections. The outspoken SLPP Kambia District Chairman was speaking to this press over the weekend on preparations ahead of a three-day working visit to the district by His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio from the 23rd-26th February 2022.
“The main opposition APC are having sleepless nights at the moment as a result of the many developmental strides which the Bio led government has undertaken within a short period’, he said adding that “President Bio has been very sympathetic to the plight of the people of Sierra Leone and Kambia district is no exception”.
“As SLPP Chairman of the district, I have succeeded in bringing on board top Kambia Politicians back to the SLPP who initially left us during the 2018 elections to join the NGC and the APC’, he said. “This has worried the APC in the district and plans are afoot to bring in more of their (APC) members into our fold”, the hard-hitting Ambassador disclosed.
“I will confidently deliver Kambia district to the SLPP come 2023 with the support of party stakeholders,” the Party district Chairman boasted.
The Kambia district Chairman assured that preparations to receiver the president and entourage to Kambia are at an advance stage noting that several chiefdoms including Tonko Limba and Sumu chiefdoms are planning a give president Bio a historic welcome..
