A high-power delegation comprising the Director General (DG) of SLRA, Chief Engineer of SLRA together with three (3) of their senior Directors, Seon (Contractor in charge of Bagbe Bridge), Pavifort (Contractor in charge of Makakura/Yiffin Road) and the National Secretary General of the SLPP who doubles as Deputy Minister of Justice last Friday made a conducted tour of various sites using Bendugu-Alkalia-Yiffin route to the River side and then Yiffin-Alkalia-Kabala route in order to have a firsthand information and map out the way forward.
At the river side, DG Sheku Kanneh of SLRA and his team of engineers were impressed with the progress so far made by Seon together with the quality of work and have vowed for a speedy completion of the bridge.
The highlight of the bridge inspection was the incorporation of the SEI Bridge (between Krutor and Gbenekoro) to be completed almost together with the Bagbe Bridge. One could remember that all abutments and pillar basements done on Sei Bridge were solely funded by UMARU NAPOLEON KOROMA.
Along the Yiffin-Kabala road, all culverts and mini-bridge work to commence in a fortnight and re-gravelling of the whole length to be completed before the rains.
In another development, positive conversation has been initiated to continue the NaCSA road project from Yiben as soon as possible.
