The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) has urged the public to disassociate from any engagement with the AGU. “Anyone in possession of their degrees should understand that such degrees should not be used for gainfรผl and other purposes in Sierra Leone” a press release dated Friday 8th April, 2022 was by the Commission.
The release said for the records, the African Graduate University (AGU) is not an accredited Institution by the Tertiary Education Commission. The AGU applied to the TEC for accreditation as a University in Siera Leone.
“The TEC Experts on institutional development and registration evaluated the institution and found their application unsuitable for accreditation as a University in Sierra Leone..The Promoters of the AGU were informed officially on the outcome of the evaluation by the Commission in a letter dated 8th May 2020 and were advised not to submit any further application to the TEC for the next two years. Since then the TEC has not received any formal application from the AGU”, the Commission noted.
