I am calling on all well-meaning/patriotic Sierra Leoneans to join me to peacefully demand compliance from Ekundayo Walton Gilpin, the Managing Director (MD) of the Rokel Commercial Bank in Sierra Leone. Let us get him to submit the original and photocopies of his PhD-he said he has a PhD in International Relations, awarded to him by Open University in 2013. It is either he submits the original and photocopies of this alleged PhD degree certificate or he resigns his MD position.
It is the presence of fake degrees and bogus โDr titlesโ within our banking system that has contributed to financial poverty (in most households) and the uncontrollable levels of inflation, amid the disastrous consequences of having a currency (the Leone) that continues to depreciate-with no sign that this depreciating trend will slow or stop any time soon.
To Ekundayo Walton Gilpin, here is my message to you.
Here is a screenshot of your CV0the one you presented to the Central Bank Governor, Professor Kelfala Kallon. I have your incomplete file (incomplete because you did not include copies of your alleged PhD certificate).
Submit the PhD certificate for verification or sack yourself/resign. This is time for seriousness. Sierra Leoneans have waited for 61 years to start our exodus out of underdevelopment. Donโt waste our time.
No. You will not be able to bribe anyone to turn a blind eye. I am on your case. It is, like all the other cases of fake degrees, my personal mission to make sure you comply with all the Banking regulations.
