The Initiative For Criminal Justice Reforms(ICJRC) has launched an environmental justice campaign at Saint Mark Primary and Secondary School at Hill Top, Hill Station, in Freetown, Western Urban.

The Chief Executive of ICJR, Mr. Tamba Souri said during the campaign, they admonished the kids on their responsibilities to keep their environment from hazardous waste and pollution. โ€œICJR sensitized the kids about the effects of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane that results to global warming which culminates to climate changeโ€, he said.

Mr Sourie added that the kids embraced the concept of keeping their environment safe as they participated alongside the ICJR staff to gather disposable and biodegradable wastes like water plastics, food waste, paper waste etc.

ICJR afterwards, donated two trash cans to help the kids from trashing their environment, as well as trash bags and gloves to the delight of the kids.

The Chief Executive of ICJR, Mr. Tamba Sourie thanked the members of staff at the Saint Mark School and promised to continue working with them for the good of the kids, the environment, and the entire community.
