The President of the Republic of Guinea, His Excellency Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, on Friday 28th October 2022, returned home after holding successful bilateral discussions with His Excellency the President of Sierra Leone Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio in Freetown.
President Mamady Doumbouya’s visit signifies the strong bilateral relationship between the two sister countries in the sub-region.
Sierra Leoneโs Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh welcomed the Guinean President at the Kambia District border and they drove together to State House in Freetown, where President Bio was waiting to receive his brother President Doumbouya, Head of State of the Republic of Guinea.
Speaking to President Bio, President Mamady Doumbouya expressed his delight and appreciation for the very warm reception in Sierra Leone. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to maintaining strong ties between the two countries and promoting issues of common interest.
In response, President Bio thanked Colonel Doumbouya for his visit and reassured him that he is always welcome in Sierra Leone as the two sister countries share several borders and mutual interests.
