Police declares Thomas .S. Gogra wanted

The Government of Sierra Leone has declared Thomas S. Gogra, wanted for his alleged involvement in supporting the August 10th demonstration that turned bloody, resulting in the deaths of many, including police 6 police officers. The government has launched an investigation into the matter, and many individuals are being brought to book.

According to sources, Thomas S Gogra was seen in Makeni during the protests, where he allegedly incited people to take to the streets to demonstrate against the government’s policies. Gogra is currently on the run as he fears for his safety as the Sierra Leone police is cracking down on anyone suspected or known to have participated in the protest.

The August 10th demonstration was held by citizens in the North and Western parts of Sierra Leone to protest against the government’s economic policies, which have resulted in high inflation, the high cost of living, and economic hardship for many citizens.

According to eyewitnesses, Thomas S. Gogra was seen on August 10th leading a group of protesters who went on to loot and destroy a police station at Makeni roundabout. The group was reportedly armed with sticks, stones, and other weapons, and they attacked the police station, which resulted in the destruction of police properties and vehicles.

The situation quickly escalated, and the police were forced to respond with force to control the situation. However, the protesters continued to throw stones and other objects at the police, leading to a clash between the two groups.

During the clash, six police officers lost their lives, and many others were injured. The protesters also suffered casualties, and many of them were arrested and taken into custody.

Gogra’s involvement in the looting and destruction of the police station has led to his declaration as wanted by the Sierra Leonean police.  The government and the police has accused Gogra and his group of being responsible for the violence and destruction that took place during the August 10th demonstration in Makeni.  The government has urged anyone with information on Gogra’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in his arrest.

Meanwhile, the families of those who lost their lives during the August 10th demonstration are calling on the government to take responsibility for the deaths and provide compensation to the families of the deceased. The government has promised to investigate the matter and provide compensation to the families of the deceased.
