The Sierra Leone Vehicle Maintenance Association and the Car Dealers Union on Monday, 5th February commended the Ministry of Transport and Aviation and Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority for partnering with Autsopect Sierra Leone to enhance Road Safety in the country.

This commendation came following an interview conducted by the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation with the Chief Executive of Autospect Sierra Leone in which he explained the major highlights and objectives of the Partnership Agreement between Autospect and the SLRSA.

Reacting to the interview,ย  public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Vehicle Maintenance Association, Mohamed Kamara said Autospect operations would address many of the challenges facing the the road transport sector in the country and appealed to transport stakeholders to embrace Autospect operations for the benefit of all.

He disclosed that Vehicle Maintenance has become a huge challengeย  over the years as most garages lacked the capacity to do effective vehicle diagnosis.

He thanked the Ministry of Transport for the Autospect project.

Imran Sillah, an executive member of the Car Dealers Union, said that with Autsopect proper vehicle fitness will be done to fix problems related to roadworthiness.

He called on the government to expedite theย  implementation process.
