Police Constable 1730 Mohamed S. Kamara attached to the exhibit office at Central Police Division in Freetown has tendered exhibit in the ongoing alleged murder matter between the state against accused person Frederick Kallon.

Leading evidence before Justice Amy Wright, a woman High Court Judge sitting in Freetown on main Law Court Building, the witness stated some of his responsibilities and duties as an exhibit clerk at the Division which includes registration of cases reported to the station, ensure the safe keeping of all exhibits brought to the station and to tender exhibits in court when required.

On the 1st February 2021, the prosecution witness said himself together with Police Inspector Kabba Kanu, Sergeant Fofanah were on duty at the Division when Policeย  Detective Kamara FB brought in one old broken fence stick with nails attached on it for registration and safe keeping.

He said the exhibit was recorded in the court registered exhibit book, with serial number 14/2021; and that exhibit has been tendered in court to form part of the evidence.

The witness was cross examined by Lawyer Ibrahim Bangura from the Legal Aid Board on behalf of the accused person.

Justice Amy Wright has adjourned the matter to the 21st February 2023 for further hearing.

The accused person has been remanded at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Center in Freetown.

The accused person is before the court answering to one count criminal indictment of murder contrary to law.

Woman State Counsel, Vivian Esther A. Kabia is prosecuting the matter on behalf of the State.

The particulars state that on the 31st January 2021, the accused person murdered Abioseh Macaulay in Freetown.
