Police personnel across the country have expressed displeasure over the delay in their rice supply for the months of January and February. They normally receive their rice supply on the 15th of every month.
A senior Police source at Police Headquarters in Freetown informed the Global Times yesterday that, the supplier is owed a large amount of money which has resulted in supply disruption for the months of January and February.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed yesterday that the matter was being treated as an ‘utmost priority’.
