The alleged twenty thousand United States Dollars vehicle matter between the State against Ramez Koroma was yesterday discharged by Justice Sulaiman Bah, a High Court Judge sitting in Freetown on main Law Court Building.

The discharge came in force when the State Prosecutor, Andrew F. Kamara informed the Court that he intends to produce no further evidence in the matter before the court, and therefore asked for a discharge of the matter.

At yesterdayโ€™s hearing at the High Court No.2, the State Counsel Andrew F. Kamara told the trial Judge that going by the evidence adduced and considering the complainant who also doubles as Prosecution Witness One (PW1), intimate that he does not have an intention to proceed with the matter.

The Judge, Justice Sulaiman Bah in the absence of the Defense Counsel discharged the accused Ramez Koroma of all counts indictment dated 16th August 2021.

The 34-year-old accused Ramez Koroma was standing trial on two counts criminal charge indictment ranging from larceny to fraudulent conversion contrary to law.

The particulars on the State indictment state that the discharged on a date unknown between the 1st of June 2016 and 31st August 2016 in Freetown stole one Ford Expedition V8 with vehicle registration number AMQ 501 valued ($20,000) property of Patrick Sovie.

On count 2, Ramez Koroma is alleged to have fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property, including physical cash of Nineteen Million Leones (Le19,000,000/00) entrusted to him by Patrick Sovie in order that the said Ramez Koroma might use it for the purpose of buying vehicle parts.
