The Sierra Leone Police with support from the government of Sierra Leone has procured three (3) patrol boats to accelerate prompt and effective policing in the riverine communities in various parts of the country.
Speaking to Global Times, the IGP William Fayia Sellu said, the three patrol boats will boost police personnel to act immediately to distress call and other police maritime activities in the riverine communities like Bonthe Island, Yeliboya and other riverine communities respectively.
For his part, SLP Media 2 said โThe three (3) brand-new boats will fast track the work of the Sierra Leone Police in order to improve on sea patrols and ease the movements of riverine personnel in the countryโ.
The boats will be commissioned soon.
