On behalf of the President of Guinea Mamadi Doumbouya, Prime Minister @Bernard_Goumou recently led a high level delegation to Sierra Leone to thank @PresidentBio and commend the 15 Sierra Leoneans including myself who travelled to Guinea to provide support following the fire incident.
I was awarded the Grand Officier de L’ordre National du Kolatier de la Rรฉpublique de Guinรฉe for leading a delegation, delivering medical supplies, deploying medical staff and planning access to petroleum products. The decoration ceremony took place at the Foreign Service Academy in Freetown where we have also concluded an agreement to supply fuel to Guinea.
I am delighted to receive this distinguished award, which is the highest commendation given to foreigners. It also represents Sierra Leone’s solidarity and fraternity to a sister country.
On behalf of President Julius Maada Bio, our government and the people of Sierra Leone, I thank President Mamadi Doumbouya, his government and the people of Guinea for this life-time honour. We are ONE PEOPLE!
