President Dr Julius Maada Bio on Friday, 27th September, 2024 lavished praises on his Vice President, Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, for having successfully led the process that earned Sierra Leone the MCC Compact.
Speaking at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC after the formal signing ceremony of the MCC with the government of the United States, President Bio lavished praise on VP Juldeh Jalloh whom he said meticulously followed the process every bit of the way.
โWhen we took up the MCC challenge, I asked VP Juldeh Jalloh to meet everyone who could help, and he did so meticulouslyโ, the President said, adding โThank you VP Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh. You are not here, but you deserve all the praise.โ
President Bio then called on all Sierra Leoneans to get rid of politics when it comes to national development.
He said Sierra Leoneans are good and clever peopleโ. He added โLet us use our brains for the development of the nation. Let the synergy flow to change the fate of our countryโ.
It would be recalled that in 2018, President Bio moved certain programs and departments to the Office of the Vice President including the MCC, PPP and NaCSA given the VPโs wide ranging experience in governance and development.
Over the years, VP Juldeh Jalloh has successfully managed these programs and departments in addition to the range of portfolios he oversees.
