The Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu, has categorically denied social media reports that the Police was looking out for or harassing Journalist and social commentator Thomas Dixon. He said he had not given instruction to any police officer to either invite, arrest or harass Thomas Dixon. IG Sellu added that, he had been advised by some senior journalists to make a formal complaint against Thomas Dixon to the IMC if he feels offended. He said he was consulting a private law firm. IG Sellu said Thomas Dixon was free to go about his normal business as no one was looking out for him.
The matter involving the Crime Officer at Adelaide Street Police Station in Freetown was being investigated by the CIID, according to IG Fayia Sellu.
