Supreme Court Judges, Justice Brown Marke, Eku Roberts and Glenna Thomson yesterday unanimously vacated Paragraph 1 & 13 of High Court Judge Justice Abdulraman R. Mansaray in his ruling delivered on the 24th March 2018 wherein the Judge granted an interim injunction restraining the National Electoral Commission and the Chief Electoral Commissioner from conducting the run-off Presidential election scheduled for March 27th 2018 pending the hearing and determination of the application made by the respondent Lawyer, Ibrahim Sorie Koroma.
Theย decision of 24th March 2018 in which 9 orders were made by Justice Abdul Rahman R. Mansaray that the High Court has the jurisdiction to hear and determine the Originating Notice of motion objected by defendants was also quashed.
The Supreme Court has ordered the respondent to pay the costs of the application to the applicants, and such costs to be taxed if not agreed.
Lawyer Drucil E. Taylor, Ms. B.E.T Cummings and Joseph Kapuwa represented the applicants while Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya represented the respondent.
