The Deputy Minister of Sports, Kai Laurence Mbayo (KLM), through his philanthropic organization KLM FREE WELL BODY PROGRAM has embarked on providing free surgical operations for the people of Kono District and the country.
On the 10th of October 2023, the KLM FREE WELL BODY PROGRAM commenced operations on 15 beneficiaries from Sandor, Gbaneh, Nimiyama and Tankoro Chiefdoms respectively in the Kono District.
It would be recalled that over the years the KLM FREE WELL BODY PROGRAM has successfully completed surgical operations for 2,725 people nationwide who were suffering from Hernia, Lipoma, Umbilical, Fibroid, Growth, and Hidrosis all over the country.
Speaking to Global Times, Minister Kai Lawrence Mbayoh said, he is just complimenting the efforts of President Bio to provide free medical assistance to those who cannot afford the high medical cost of undergoing surgical operations.
However, as Deputy Minister of Sports, Kai Laurence Mbayo (KLM) wholeheartedly worked with all stakeholders in the Ministry of Sports that saw the transformation of the Sports Ministry to another level.
He also worked very hard for the Sierra Leone Premier League to bounce back under the New Direction Government of President Bio which created a lot of jobs for the Youth and led Leone Stars to qualify for the African Cup of Nations after several years.
