ECOWAS VP Donates Ramadan Gifts

The Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, Madam Finda Koroma, on Thursday 28th April 2021, donated assorted food items to members of the Sierra Leonean National Association (SLeNA) that are resident in Nigeria.

The donation is part of her routine Ramadan gifts to Sierra Leoneans in this respectable Holy Month of Ramadan.

The ECOWAS Vice President got huge commendations from the beneficiaries for her generosity especially at a time when they are in need.

With her singlehanded efforts, the gesture made to members of the Sierra Leonean National Association put a lot of smiles on their faces. The assorted food items donated are worth over two thousand United Stated dollars ($2000).

The President of the Sierra Leonean National Association (SLeNA), Mustapha Fofana, on behalf of the entire membership of the association extended warm felicitations to the ECOWAS Commission Vice President, Madam Finda Koroma for donating the Ramadan gifts to them. He called on other notable Sierra Leoneans serving in different sectors in Nigeria to emulate her goodwill gesture.

The beneficiary communities include the Kuje Local government area, Kubwa, Gwarimpa, Mpape, Apo Dutse, Bwari, Nyanya, Mararaba, Ado-New Karu, Masaka, Gowan Barracks, Lungi Barracks and Abacha Barracks.

The Holy Month of Ramadan is a special period when Muslims from all over the world fast from dawn to dusk as an obligatory act prescribed by the Islamic faith. This is also the time when charitable assistance are freely given and blissfully accepted.
