Sierra Leone’s ebullient Finance Minister, Dennis Vandi has arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan with a delegation from the Finance Ministry to attend the Islamic Development Bank’s 46th Group Annual Meeting. The 46th IsDB Group Annual Meeting is the first to be held since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019.
This year, the Bank has identified three main themes for the Governor’s Roundtable, as follows: Boosting COVID-19 Recovery: (ii) Tackling Increasing Poverty and Building Resilience; and (iii) Driving Green Economic Growth in Member countries.
The Minister and delegation are expected to return home this week.
