The First Lady Madam Fatima Bio accompanied by her husband and a host of Cabinet Ministers, has commissioned a newly constructed building for Meat Sellers along the Bo/Koribondo Highway. The Meat Sellers building was constructed single handedly by Brima Baluwa Koroma, Executive Director, Petroleum Regulatory Agency.

In his opening statement, Brima Baluwa Koroma said he pitied the plight of the meat sellers who prior to the construction normally sold their products along the roadside defying weather conditions and also exposing their products to microbial.

He said against that backdrop, and knowing same to be true that he is one of their customers, decided to be of assistance to them by providing shelter in a rather hygienic and conducive environment.

Chairlady, Meat Sellers Association, Messy Munda on behalf of all beneficiaries thanked Brima Baluwa Koroma for coming to their rescue describing him as a God sent.

She recalled selling bush meat of different types along the roadside for over a decade now noting that their common friends have been flies.

She thanked the First Lady and President Bio for the introduction of the Free Quality Education which has removed the overarching burden of school charges on them and the Hands Off Our Girls campaign which to a colossal extent has restored the dignity of their girls in the midst of predators with uncontrollable libidos.

First Lady, Mrs. Fatima Bio thanked Brima Baluwa Koroma for the building and praised the resilience of the women folks who amid thick and thin have used the trade to better their lives and also eke a decent living. She encouraged them to send their children to school and urged them to abstain from sex and early marriage. She on behalf of her husband donated a deep freezer to the Executive of meat sellers for preservation purposes.

President Julius Maada Bio in his witty and succinct statement encouraged the women to make judicious use of the Free Quality Education and promised to be of further help to them in the not too distant future.
