Last week, as part of the EU funded support to the Education Sector in Sierra Leone, NAO officials joined the Ministry of Basic Education and EU Delegation to deliver Laboratory Equipment and accessories to the Prince of Wales Secondary School in Freetown. This is part of a lager package that 26 other schools across the country are beneficiaries.
When H.E Brig. Rtd. Dr. Julius Maada Bio commissioned the 100 rehabilitated, reconstructed and constructed schools on 10th September 2022, NAO officials made the commitment that laboratory equipment will be provided to enhance science practical in rural and urban schools to help improve education outcomes. Science practical in schools had been a perennial problem impacting the success in science subjects.
Seven (7) schools will benefit in the western area and the remaining nineteen (19) across other regions. Items included calipers, screw gauges, voltmeters, microscopes thermometers, conclave lenses, test tubes, tripods, measuring cylinders, reagents to name a few. We are delivering on H.E the Presidentโs vision to enhance Human Capital Development
