My Fellow Sierra Leoneans,
As we commemorate our nationโs 63RD Independence Anniversary, we give thanks to the Almighty God for enabling us to mark another year of our nation’s freedom and the opportunity to shape our shared future and destiny.
Today, we honour the sacrifices of our forebearers who fought tirelessly for our freedom and sovereignty.
With Unity, Freedom and Justice as our banner, our journey progresses towards building a united, peaceful and flourishing Republic.
63 years on, we have progressed, but our challenges remain. Together, we will continue to build bridges of cooperation and understanding, forging a brighter, more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
