This newspaper has been reliably informed that Mr. Adikalie Bangura, formerly of Low Cost Housing Estate in Kissy, in the eastern part of Freetown, is now on the safety of his life after he was declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police on alleged homosexual activities and other related offences.
The reports further stated that Adikalie’s and Ayo’s troubles started when on the morning of Sunday, 26 April, this year, 2026, he was caught red-handed in homosexual activities with Mr. Ayo Ben-Wilson by Mr. Ayo Ben-Wilson’s elder sister, Miss Elizabeth Ben-Wilson, who raised the alarm that led to the community people attacking them during which Mr. Ayo Ben-Wilson was captured while Mr. Adikalie Bangura managed to escape and disappeared from the community.
A source who lives in the community explained to this Reporter that homosexualism is unacceptable in Sierra Leone and regarded as an abomination because is is viewed as an unnatural and beastly sexual orientation and that those who engage in it should be killed in order to cleanse the land of the such an unforgivable abomination.
He further explained that on the following day, a large group of angry community people attacked Adikalie’s house at Low Cost, which they completely vandalised, and carted away properties worth tens of thousands of New Leones.
He disclosed that during the attack it was a Police patrol that rescued Mr. Ayo Ben-Wilson and took him to the hospital for treatment from where he is reported to have escaped two days later and also disappeared from the community.
The source also revealed that the community people continue to search for Adikalie and Ayo with the determination to kill them when they find them.
The man further explained that the Police made a warrant of arrest for Mr. Adikalie Bangura and Mr. Ayo Ben-Wilson, and have also declared them as wanted persons.
When this Reporter requested for him to lead him to Mr. Adikalie and Ayo for an interview, he told her that he did not know their whereabouts as since the morning of the attack, Adikalie and Ayo have disappeared from the community and they have neither been seen nor heard from.
He also stated that unidentified young men continue to visit the community, mostly during late in the night, asking for Adikalie and Ayo, making threatening remarks that they will kill them the day they see them.
When this Reporter contacted the Ross Road Police Station in Cline town on the matter, a Police Officer told her that they were looking for Mr. Adikalie Bangura and Mr. Ayo Ben- Wilson for the alleged crimes of wounding with intent, and sodomy.
He revealed that while they are investigating the matter, they are offering a reward of twenty thousand New Leones (NLe 20,000.00) each to anybody who will give them information that will lead to their arrests.
