Mr. Lamin Sesay is recognized and well known within the Court premises in Freetown. He always stands as a surety for accused/ defendants that the courts grant bail.
It will be recalled that last year, Lamin Sesay stood as surety for a defendant popularly known as Biggie Tel, after he was granted bail by Justice Alhaji Momoh Jah Steven, on drug related offences.
The defendant Biggie Tel was granted bail by Court of Appeal Judge, Justice Momoh Jah Steven in the sum of Forty Thousand Leones, a surety in like sum, and the surety to produce a National Identification Card.
Because the defendant failed to appear before the Court on the last adjourned date, Lamin Sesay was arrested on the orders of the Judge and immediately remanded at the Pademba Road Maximum Male Correctional Centre.
