FREETOWN – The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have declared Mrs. Nancy Kamara wanted in connection with the sudden death of her husband, Mr. Musa Sankoh, following a domestic altercation at their residence.
Reports reaching this medium indicate that Mr. sankoh, a father of two, was pronounced dead after allegedly being pushed during a heated argument, resulting in a fatal fall. His body has since been transferred to the mortuary by the SLP for autopsy and further examination. The incident occurred on 5th August 2023.
The circumstances surrounding Mr. sankoh death remains contentious, with conflicting eyewitness accounts dividing the community.
The deceased’s first wife, who claims to have witnessed the incident, alleges that Mrs. Kamara physically assaulted Mr. Musa pushing him with force that led to his death.
“It was Nancy Kamara who pushed my husband to his death,” the co-wife stated to researchers and community members.
However, prior to fleeing the scene, Mrs. Kamara reportedly denied the accusations. According to residents who rushed to the house immediately after the incident, Mrs. Kamara she claimed was not responsible for the push. Instead, she allegedly pointed the finger at her son, Abu, claiming he was the one who pushed his father.
Following the intense confrontation and accusations from her co-wife, Mrs. Kamara reportedly fled the residence before police arrived. Sources suggest she left out of fear for her safety as tensions in the community escalated. She remains at large, and the Sierra Leone Police have officially declared her wanted for questioning.
A close associate of Mrs. Kamara, speaking to this medium on the condition of anonymity, described a history of hostility in the household.
“The co-wife has always looked for ways to target Nancy,” the source claimed. “She frequently ganged up with the husband to mistreat her and has even attempted to blackmail her in the past. We do not believe the statement provided by the co-wife.”
Community stakeholders have pledged their full cooperation with the Sierra Leone Police to ensure justice is served. Local leaders are urging anyone with information regarding Nancy Kamara’s whereabouts to come forward.
As of press time, the investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging the public to remain calm while they establish the true facts of the case.
